ANDRÉS ALVAREZ

System Learning · Product Thinking · Interaction Design · QA · Production · Visual Communication · T

A multidisciplinary product-and-production practitioner who has spent years turning obscure operational needs into usable software, tested workflows, launch materials, and training experiences.

My career has repeatedly put me at the intersection of people, systems, technology, and communication. I have worked with users, engineers, vendors, production leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders; translated requirements into software changes; tested those changes; launched them; and taught people how to use them.

As a hands-on designer who can move from ambiguity to clear product experiences, collaborate closely with engineering and community, and contribute to brand and visual identity; I would bring a different kind of design background: less centered on a traditional designer title, and more centered on ownership of the experience from problem definition through adoption and improvement.

My background is not a conventional agency-design path; it is a product-embedded path where design, requirements, implementation, QA, communication, and real-world users have always been connected.

I am a product-minded, hands-on multidisciplinary practitioner

whose design work has lived inside real software, real production environments, real users, and real launch constraints.

Operate Independently

Long-running  Ownership across Product, Project, Production Scheduling, Training, Vendor Relationships, and Implementation.

Designing software with the people who must use it.

Someone who can start with ambiguity, talk to users, prototype

and iterate, work closely with engineering, and ship while learning.

My strongest evidence is a product practice built around the same loop:

Understand the workflow · Shape the Experience · Test ·  Launch · Teach · Observe · Improve it

At Warner Bros. Discovery, I served as Technical Product Manager for ShowMGR / Xytech while also working in live production. That combination put me close to both the software and the operational reality it was intended to support.

The Design

Production Workflows involve multiple user levels, deadlines, dependencies, and handoffs. My

responsibility was to translate those operational needs into software requirements and feature enhancements while

keeping usability, reliability, and implementation constraints in view.

My Contribution

• Gathered requirements from Technical Operations Management, Production crews, Technical Engineers, Production-adjacent teams · Translated them into Product Needs

• Visualized feature enhancements and worked with vendors through development and implementation

• Participated in Product Roadmaps, Backlog Reviews, and Agile workflows

• Performed QA testing and UAT · Monitored Feature Performance · Provided Tier 1 & 2 Technical Support

• Advocated for organizational needs with engineers and stakeholders across departments and countries

• Led Product Launches and Transitions, including the move from paper-based processes to ShowMGR · later from ShowMGR to Xytech Fabric

• Training Design · Shareable Quick Training Guides, Training Videos and Clips · Interactive modules · Conducted Live Training Sessions (Web and Classroom) across Departments , Cities, and Countries

My resume identifies me as Project Manager for the New York Technical Operations organization resource website redesign.

• Experience working on a digital information experience rather than only operational software.

• Project Ownership that Connected Requirements, Stakeholders, Implementation, and Delivery.

• A foundation for Web assets, Technical Production ecosystem, and Cross-Product Information Architecture.

Making complex information understandable through visual and multimedia work.

I produce social graphics and edits, event collateral, decks, web assets, and brand guidance. My production and multimedia background provides a practical visual-communication foundation and an understanding of how assets actually get produced, revised, approved, and deployed.

• Produced Training Multimedia ·  Training Quick Guides, Training Videos & Clips, and Interactive Modules.

• Created and edited media

• Technical AV Production Work ·  Teleprompter Operator for Live Broadcast and Specials, A2 for Live On-the-Street Interviews, Camera Operator for Documentary Interviews, Production Assistant (Lighting, Staging, Sound Assistant, Video Editor) for Flygroove Music Videos 2022
